Difficulty urinating and low flow are common symptoms of an enlarged prostate. It is also common wake up several times a night to urinate. Men often feel run and may or may not have reduced sexual desire or impotence. The understanding of testosterone and prostate is important and can help you when you contact your health care with health.
Generally, when you see your doctor and complain of decreased libido feel, in addition to not feel the energy, the first thing that doctors have a simple blood test to check levels of testosterone.
Throughout the life of a man’s body produces testosterone. As men age, the amount of circulating testosterone begins to decrease gradually after the age of forty years. The decrease is relatively small and occurs at a rate of 1% or 2% per year. Virtually all men experience a decrease in testosterone. There is a small percentage of men who have testosterone levels that are considered normal for their age. Low testosterone is defined by the medical community as less than 300 nanograms per deciliter of blood. Only half to two thirds of all men with symptoms of low testosterone report. Symptoms include decreased libido, erectile dysfunction, mood disorders, fatigue and sleep disorders. In general, the decline in testosterone occurs in men over the years and the symptoms often go unnoticed. Some men may experience symptoms and not recognize the decrease in libido due to the fact that we still have a libido. Symptoms of low testosterone can significantly affect the quality of human life.
Many in the medical community believe that low testosterone is to treat and has become commonplace for health professionals to prescribe: a testosterone gel applied daily to the skin, a testosterone patch that is applied the skin and worn throughout the day testosterone tablets by mouth or injections of testosterone. There is some controversy testosterone supplementation in the long term when testosterone is added to the body really recognize all that the production of testosterone by the testes and normal testosterone may actually diminish or cease and the individual may experience shrinkage the testicles. Doctors often face infertility testosterone levels decreased with an injectable hormone called hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin). hCG production is most anabolic androgenic or male, but hCG testosterone in the testes very quickly and reliably. It may be advantageous to discuss testosterone supplements hCG intermittent periodic treatments with your doctor to make sure that your natural testosterone production is not destroyed.
Just a lot of men do not produce adequate levels of testosterone, however, a significant number of men may have reduced testosterone due to increased activity of the natural enzyme 5 – reductase 伪. When testosterone is subject to the 5-reductase enzyme becomes 伪 DHT (dihydrotestosterone). In adult males DHT acts as the primary androgen in the prostate and hair follicles. In men, DHT is the main factor that contributes to male pattern baldness. DHT also plays an important role in the development and exacerbation of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and prostate cancer by prostate gland enlargement. enlarged prostate growth depends on the level of DHT.
The actual cause of BPH is debated by the medical community. One school of thought believes that the age for men and decreased testosterone there is a greater amount of estrogen in the blood. All men produce small amounts of estrogen (female hormone) plus testosterone. Animal studies suggest that this increase in the amount of estrogen in the prostate gland can increase the activity of substances that promote cell growth. If this is true, men who use other sources of estrogen may take notice. Since the 1960s, soybeans are high in estrogen, have become increasingly common as a source of human food. Research shows that before 21 century it was soy is rarely used in the production of food for human consumption. Even the use of Asian soybean culture was limited to the period of extreme food shortages. When used carefully prepared Asian soybean with a long fermentation process (6-9 months) to remove toxins from the soybean. In 1998, consumption of soy by Asians has been validated and found that Asian men consume soy 8.00 卤 4.95 g / day and that Asian women consuming soy 卤 6.88 4.06 g / day . The soy products were consumed tofu (plain, fried, fried, or dried), miso, fermented soybeans, soy milk and soy cooked. Today, the consumption of soy in English speaking countries, about 220 g of soy / day, which far exceeds what Asians typically consume. Clinical research has shown that soy reduces testosterone levels. In a study of a 76% reduction in the production of testosterone in men has been documented. Another study by Nagata C, et al. “Inverse association between intake of soy products with serum concentrations of androgens and oestrogens in Japanese men.” Nutr Cancer 2000, 36 (1) :14-8. This study demonstrated that consumption of soy increased the Japanese was related to decreased levels of testosterone. A complementary study in healthy adult males compared to a meat diet containing soy protein as a source of help. Testosterone levels were significantly lower in the group with a soy diet. In addition, the amount of “free” testosterone was reduced by 7% in the soy diet.
The other school of thought focuses on dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Most animals lose their ability to produce DHT as they age. Unfortunately, this is not true of humans. Research shows that even with a decrease in blood testosterone level, older men continue to produce and accumulate high levels of DHT in the prostate. The accumulation of DHT may encourage prostate enlargement. The scientists also noticed that men who do not produce DHT do not develop BPH.
It is very important to tell your doctor about urinary problems. In eight of the 10 common symptoms (a hesitant, interrupted, weak stream urgency and leaking or dribbling, frequent urination, especially at night) suggest BPH, but can also indicate more serious conditions that require immediate treatment. These conditions, including prostate cancer, may be rebutted only by examination of a physician.
The pharmacological treatment of BPH is the most common. The FDA has approved six medications prescribed to relieve common symptoms associated with enlarged prostate. These drugs are not natural and are semi-synthetic or synthetic. All these drugs have side effects associated with them. Recently, in June 2011, the FDA issued a warning to physicians regarding prescription drugs classified as 5-alpha reductase (5-ARI). FDA “drug of the class of 5-ARI are finasteride and dutasteride. These drugs are marketed under the brand names Proscar, Propecia, Avodart, and Jalyn.” FDA review of two large clinical trials showed “Prostate Cancer Prevention Trial” (PCPT) and “Reduction of Prostate Cancer dutasteride Events” (reduce) the trial. Both tests a higher incidence of prostate cancer with high degree of finasteride and dutasteride treatment.
Outside North America, doctors and health professionals rely more on natural products, known in the United States as dietary supplements. Plant sterols in the world or of beta-sitosterol were invoked for the relief of the symptoms of enlarged prostate for decades. The effectiveness of beta-sitosterol was published in British Journal of Urology, The Lancet and the Cochrane. In the United States and Canada, tens of thousands of men have found that beta-sitosterol natural ingredient can really answer these symptoms without the side effects of prescription drugs. For years the medical community recommended saw palmetto to treat symptoms of an enlarged prostate. However, in 2006, a study published in the New England Journal of Medicine showed that taking saw palmetto for enlarged prostate is not more effective than placebo.
They are all the same beta-sitosterol? Well, the most common beta-sitosterol found in most prostate supplements derived from soybeans. Soy (estrogen) makes no sense to use a complement to the male prostate. In addition 93% of all soybean in North America are free of GMOs. It is a non-soy formula beta-sitosterol prostate by IMS (Make It felt) Supplements, Inc. The best product from the prostate using a vegetable capsule with 310 mg of genetically modified soya-beta-sitosterol (pine) . In addition, 15 mg of zinc (as citrate) and 15 mcg of selenium (as selenium chelate). Information on the best prostate can be found in http://www.bestprostate.com.
